Collège des Médecins du Québec

In early 2016, the Collège des Médecins du Québec moved its head office to a new, more adapted, larger and more accessible space. The Collège team now runs its operations out of this brand new environment that meets the needs of a modern organization. The goal was to maintain and even improve its services to the public and to members, while offering employees a pleasant and stimulating work environment.

The Collège now occupies 46 500 square feet of floor space over two full floors connected by a monumental staircase at 1250, René-Lévesque West Boulevard in Montreal.

P&R Desjardins was hired by the Collège to complete this remodeling, which included not only areas reserved for office space, but public areas, sky lobbies and public bathrooms.

In addition to drilling the slab on the 35th floor of the building, leveling the floor surfaces required special attention, as several finishing materials with varying characteristics were used, including carpets, wood, vinyl tiles and most importantly, large dimensions of highly fragile ceramic tiles. The woodwork also presented a particular challenge due to the fact that the reception desk was integrated into the structure of the central staircase.
