Dentons
Dentons made the decision to remain in their current address; to renovate rather than move. This decision implicated a high degree of complexity. In order to maintain all activities in operation, the renovation work was undertaken in phases; by approaching the individual offices on the perimeter, one wing at a time. All surface finishes were replaced while existing woodwork was refurbished on site. The central area of each floor was completely rebuilt to accommodate the latest working procedures.
The real challenge facing P&R Desjardins was the development of the North wing on the 39th floor. This space was dedicated to the main reception area and to the conference center. Unique in design, this space was created around the concept of transporting a visitor from a traditional setting to modern space. All components within proportion, transition, materials and woodwork are set out to lead the visitor in feeling like they are entering a new world.
