Business Development Bank of Canada
We are proud to have earned the trust of the Business Development Bank of Canada and to have been awarded the contract for the redevelopment of their head office located at 5 Place Ville-Marie in Montreal. BDC is a B CORP certified company www.bcorporation.com and is devoted to Canadian entrepreneurs.
Located at the heart of a team of experienced construction designers and managers, P+R Desjardins completed the fit-out of the new headquarters of the bank; which will occupy ± 166 000 square feet over seven (7) floors within the building, an Ivanhoe Cambridge property. The project was awarded the LEED GOLD certification according to the LEED-CI version 1.0 norm.
The work, carried over four (4) phases, rendered possible to renew the entire work environment, while allowing daily operations to continue without interruptions.
The occupants and prospective visitors will appreciate, among others, the monumental staircases, the circular multi-purpose room with its glass circumferential partition and its ceiling dotted with luminous points (LED) giving an effect of Perseids, the “Broadcast” room and the cafeteria with its food services. The millwork done by Menuiseries Mont-Royal dresses the space in a remarkable way.
Within the projects scope, we were mandated by Ivanhoe Cambridge, the owner of the building, to complete the “Base-building” work, which was integrated in perfect harmony with the work for BDC.
A “must-see” in office planning; another record project for Groupe Desjardins Mont-Royal.
